The ‘Divisional BPO Summit 2023 (Mymensingh Division)’ was held at Advocate Tarek Smriti Auditorium in Mymensingh. Mahfuzul Alam Masum, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development and Human Resource Management), Mymensingh was present as the chief guest on the occasion. In his speech, he said, “The Honorable Prime Minister has successfully realized the dream of Digital Bangladesh. And now we are moving towards a smart Bangladesh rich in information technology. To compete with the developed world, there is no alternative to increase the skills in the IT industry. Our children should play a role in the progress of this smart Bangladesh by developing skills in the IT industry.”

Along with the programme, career counseling sessions, CV collection and job fair continued till evening. In this job fair, interviews of talented students were taken from numerous well-known IT institutions of the country. The companies participating in the fair are: Ayesha Services Limited (ASL BPO), Technogram Limited, The Cow Company Limited, HMC Technology Limited and Service Engine BPO.
It is to be noted that a policy dialogue session titled ‘Fostering BPO Industry to Achieve SMART Bangladesh’ was held on Tuesday, June 20 at 10:30 am in the meeting room of the Mymensingh Deputy Commissioner’s office. Last Monday, on June 19, a skill development seminar was held at Mymensingh Polytechnic Institute as part of BPO Summit’s career campaign. In the seminar, Mr. Md. Salim Sarkar, Executive Coordinator, BACCO Secretariat addressed the students by highlighting the potential aspects of the BPO industry and encouraging them to develop an interesting career in this sector.
“BPO Summit Bangladesh 2023” is being held nationwide under the initiative of ‘Bangladesh Association of Contact Center and Outsourcing (BACCO)’ and with the overall cooperation of ‘Business Promotion Council’ under the Ministry of Commerce and the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology under the Information and Communication Technology Division of the Government of Bangladesh.
