Legitimate internet traders held hostage by illegals in Jashore city. As a result, Internet connections has been disconnected for four days in Jashore district city of Maic-patty, Post Office, Circuit House Para and Shasthitala, and more than 500 broadband internet customers of Ward No. 6.
ISPAB member company Jan Computers Director Sanjay Saha conveyed this information in a press conference at Jashore Press Club on Sunday. Representatives of 15 member organizations of ISPAB were present at the press conference under the banner of Jashore Internet Businessmen.
It was informed in the press conference that the connection was downed in the area on April 17 after occupying the area. The matter was completely isolated when it was reported to BTRC through ISPAB. It is alleged that an unlicensed reseller is doing this under the umbrella of the local commissioner.
Md Ismail Hossain from Fatima Techsolution, Touhidul Islam founder of TNetwork, Jessore IT CEO Nafiz Iqbal, Bonepol Net Proprietor Md Hasan and others were present in the press conference. Everyone wanted to do business legally in the area as well as to protect their lives.
In this regard, ISPAB President Imdadul Hoque said, “We have reminded our parent organization BTRC to get rid of local muscle power.”Even after BTRC’s closure of illegal connections, it continues under the umbrella of local public representatives. So we are seeking the cooperation of Member of Parliament in Jessore Constituency.”
