Micro blogging site Twitter is introducing ‘picture-in-picture’ facility in its app. As a result, scrolling through the news feed while playing a video in the app will not stop it. The video will be viewed in one corner of the screen.
Twitter owner Elon Musk has said that the ‘picture-in-picture’ feature will be launched on Twitter in the next few weeks. When this feature is enabled, videos can be seen in one corner of the screen while easily scrolling through Twitter’s news feed.
Meanwhile, Blue Tick subscribers are now getting the benefit of uploading two-hour long videos on Twitter.
The owner and former CEO of the platform, Elon Musk, announced this in a tweet posted on his official Twitter account on May 18. However, the maximum size of the video can be 8 GB.
According to a report by technology website Engadget, Elon Musk tweeted, ‘Twitter Blue verified subscribers can now upload two hours of video (8 GB)!’ Earlier videos of maximum length of 60 minutes could be uploaded but now this limit has been increased. But only Blue Tick subscribers are getting this benefit. Earlier long videos could be uploaded only from the web version. But from now on it will be possible from the iOS app as well.
