Indian government banned 14 mobile messenger apps in that country. It is believed that these messenger apps were being used for terrorist activities. According to the concerned organization, messages have been sent from Pakistan through this app to the militants.
These 14 mobile apps include – Crypvisor, Enigma, SafeSwitch, Wickermy, MediaFire, Briar, BeeChat, Nandbox, Conion, Emo, Element, Second Line, Zangi and Threema.
According to reports, militants were using these messenger apps to send messages to their associates in Jammu and Kashmir. This was confirmed in a report by several investigative agencies in India, after which these apps were shut down by the government.
Reports said that militants used these apps to send messages and chat with their associates in Kashmir and on-ground personnel.
