Elon Musk-owned social media X (formerly Twitter) has struck a deal without paying promised bonuses. A federal court of the United States has given this verdict. News Reuters.
Mark Schobinzer, X’s senior director of remuneration, reportedly resigned in May and sued the company for breach of contract in June.
In the complaint, he said, the company had promised to give half of the target bonus of 2022 to the employees. Before and after Elon Musk bought the company, the company’s decision on this matter was irreversible, but it was not implemented.
In his ruling, U.S. District Judge Vince Shabria said, as per the California law, Schobinger has clearly mentioned a breach of contract. He was entitled to bonus as per company scheme.
