Within the next 6 months, the government will start the construction of the Joy Smart Service and Employment Training Center at Bogura Sadar, the gateway to North Bengal; and the construction work of Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center will start in the next financial year. State Minister for Information Technology and Telecom Zunaid Ahmed Palak conveyed this information after visiting the activities of BTCL under the post and telecommunication division located at the district headquarters on Saturday, April 13, and exchanged views with local journalists. It will be constructed on the unused 4 acres of BTCL land at the district headquarters or any of the district administration sites.
The Minister of State announced the construction work of these two new structures on Eid holidays and on the eve of Bengali New Year after the Science and Technology University, Hi-Tech Park, and Bogura-Sirajganj railway line in Bogura.
Expressing the hope that if these two IT institutes are established, there will be employment for thousands of young people in Bogura, State Minister Palak said that the Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center, which will cost hundreds of crores of taka, will be approved in the next ECNEC meeting and the Joy Smart D-Set Center will be approved. Work will begin. He visited the place in this regard. He expressed optimism that the construction work of Joy Smart D Training Center will start within the next 6 months. The construction of Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center will start within the next year. It will create employment for the youth of Bogura.
Bogura Sadar Member of Parliament Ragebul Ahsan Ripu and Deputy Commissioner Saiful Islam, Sadar Upazila Chairman Abu Sufian Safiq, Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Feroza Parveen, Bogura BTCL Deputy General Manager Md. Abdur Razzak, Assistant Manager Shafiqul Islam, Nurul Islam and others were present.
After visiting the place, Zunaid Ahmed Palak said, today we visited Bogura main post office. The postal department is one of the passions of Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Our goal is to modernize the conventional services of the postal department. Within this year we are going to make the Telecom Act and very soon we are going to make the Postal Act. We will convert every post office in Bangladesh into a smart service point. We plan to make our BTCL, Teletalk and Postal divisions profitable by leveraging unused space, manpower and infrastructure and partnering with various private sector organizations. In the next five years, we will transform Bogura into Smart Bogura in 2041 through the gifts that the people of Bogura District will receive from the Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
