Vice Chancellor of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam said, “53 years ago, when Bangabandhu delivered the historic 7th March speech, I was a student of class 8. Hearing that historic speech on the radio that day, my body trembled. Even today the brilliance of that speech echos in the ears. The 7th March speech was a complete package of guidance for the freedom struggle for the freedom-loving Bengalis at a stage of long-term exploitation and oppression. As a result, the brave Bengali was inspired by the spirit of independence and jumped into the liberation war. Currently, under the leadership of Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina, Smart Bangladesh is moving forward at a breakneck pace. We have to contribute as smart citizens and smart engineers to implement the new vision of the government.”
