Focusing that Impressive and Touchless time, Grameen Phone has released a new app based set of IoT devices for the smart citizens and smart corporate organizations of Bangladesh. 8 devices are initially being introduced. Grameenphone authorities claim that this service has been brought as a simple and innovative solution to complex life through the app.
Grameenphone Chief Executive Yasir Azman said that 2 out of 5 people use the Internet in the country. And 1 out of two people on the Internet is connected to Grameenphone. Everyone at Grameenphone cherishes the potential of building a progressive Bangladesh with the latest technology. He said, “We need to realize that now is the time to embrace technology towards a safer, healthier and happier future by capitalizing on the capabilities of smart devices, artificial intelligence and connectivity.” A new chapter has been added in shaping the future of digital lifestyle in Bangladesh today with the launch of our new IoT products. Today we pledge to build a digitally connected world where every interaction opens the door to a unique experience.”
Responding to a question, the Grameenphone CEO said, the devices are jointly developed with various stakeholders including Huawei. And by using them, the user has full control over the data. No one can use them without the permission of the user.
The Chief Product Officer Asif Naimur Rashid and Chief Marketing Officer Sajjad Hasib introduced the new product at the event. Dr. Asif Naimur Rashid said, “Let us welcome a future where smart connectivity will act as the driver of development. A new horizon of interconnected intelligence and advanced services will unfold through our smart home, office and transportation systems. Empowerment, accurate information and faster speed and efficiency than ever before will help us write a new story of transformation – ‘Alo’. Much like Apple, it was announced at the product introduction event, 8 products will run in this one IoT-based app with ‘locate, detect and control’ facility. These are – Alo Vehicle Tracker Pro, Alo Vehicle Tracker OBD, Alo Vehicle Tracker, Alo Remote Socket, Alo Remote Switch, Alo Light Detector, Alo Gas Detector and Alo Smoke Detector. Through which the smoke from the fire will warn about the fire in advance. It will be possible to light the gas stove or the house light or whether to light it from outside or not. Similarly, cars will help trucks, end-to-end control and refuel before the oil runs out. The app will also advise the user through data analytics. Apart from the Android, iOS app, the service will be available on the web.
Grameenphone authorities will start taking pre-orders in the market from December 26. These devices range from child trackers to many more which are first in Bangladesh.
