The Ministry of Industry is being smart by introducing Individual Identification Numbers and product quality and accreditation of industrial establishments starting from fertilizer management of farmers. An MoU was signed with the Information and Communication Technology Division on Monday to get technical assistance for this. Industry Minister Nurul Majid Humayun was the chief guest at the Ministry’s conference center agreement signing ceremony in Motijheel.
The minister said that demand, supply, supply and quality will be taken care of centrally from the ministry using digital technology. And thanking all of the Information and Communication Technology Division for implementing this initiative, Industry Minister Nurul Majid Humayun said, “If Bangabandhu was alive, we would have been in the ranks of Malaysia and Korea.” However, due to the strong leadership of Bangabandhu’s daughter, Bangladesh is becoming a model for the world due to the acquisition of Digital Bangladesh capabilities. During Covid-19 pandemic we have benefited from our digital transformation. This proves that Bangladesh can never be kept in check.
Pointing out that there is no shortage of products in the market, he also said that in every market of the country, different products can be seen arranged. That means there is no problem in production; There is a problem with supply. For that, we made an agreement with the ICT Division to use the technology. Through this we will say goodbye to corruption.
The State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak said that the Ministry of Industry and the Department of Information Technology will work together to develop more than 7 million small and medium industrial entrepreneurs as digital entrepreneurs. Due to EGP and e-documents, Bangladesh has been freed from the bad name of corruption in the world. Now Bangladesh has the opportunity to move to the eighth position in the ICT sector in the world. That’s why we want to build smart industry. In this regard, the ICT Division will play a supporting role. Through this, the Ministry of Industry will lead the fourth industrial revolution.
Also, Minister of State for Industries Kamal Hossain Majumdar delivered a speech online as a special guest.
