Some of the source code of social media platform Twitter has been leaked online. The company is taking legal action for the information of those involved.
According to the report, the source code is published on GitHub with different citations. It is a software development based website owned by the Microsoft.
The source code is published on GitHub with an ID of ‘Free Space Enthusiast’. However, GitHub says the source code was removed on Friday at Twitter’s request.
Meanwhile, based on Twitter’s complaint, a California district court issued a notice to GitHub seeking information on the source code release ID.
Although GitHub has provided such information to the court, it has not disclosed any such information to the media. No information is even available on how long the source code has been publicly available.
