A seminar was held on Monday at the capital’s Vision Tower conference center on ‘Metaverse: The future technology of the Internet that will make the digital world more like the real world. What is Metaverse and how does it work?’ E-learning teaching specialist educationist Dr. Badrul Huda Khan presented the key note article in this regard.
In the presentation he discussed the cost-effective e-learning process and methodology he developed through Metaverse. He said, he is writing a new book on the use of metaverse in education. Where the socio-economic and cultural factors in the sign language and teaching process depending on the country will be there along with the technology. How the avatar model will be in students’ perceptive process, its effect on child mentality and necessary guidelines will also be covered. He pointed out what are the challenges of smart Bangladesh. He called for the formation of Bangladesh Metaverse Foundation to face those challenges.
Bangladesh Computer Council Executive Director Ranjit Kumar was the chief guest at the seminar presided over by CTO Forum President Tapan Kanti Sarkar.
While speaking as the Chief Guest, he warned that ‘if the people are not smart, the opportunity of Metaverse will be missed’, he said that the government will move forward together with the private sector to build a smart Bangladesh. So everyone should come forward with the spirit of partnership.
The BCC Executive Director said that there are repeated injuries while making the data protection law.
CTO President Tapan Kanti Sarkar urged the CTO Forum and journalists to ‘beat the drum’ of the program by mentioning that Bangladesh Computer Council has done a lot of work but not everyone knows about it.
He said, earlier we were Bankers CTO Forum. But when we work with a2i to build this organization with everyone. We want everyone to work together. BCC does a lot of work. But it can’t beat its own drum. So you need an organization to beat your own drum. That organization can be CTO Forum, Journalist Forum. Because we are a non-profit non-political organization.
Professor Anthony Clemon of Northern Illinois University and Professor Lafifa Jamal of Dhaka University’s Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering Department attended the seminar virtually at the beginning of the program.
Director of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority Tabibur Rahman and TMGB President Mohammad Kausar Uddin participated in the seminar moderated by CTO Forum General Secretary Aref Elahi Manik.
