With the benefit of digital technology, no one gets a chance to commit corruption or irregularities; Similarly, State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak commented that even crop production has also increased.
He made this comment during the distribution of digital ID cards and certificates among freedom fighters in his parliamentary constituency, distribution of prizes among contestants on the occasion of National Education Week-2022 and distribution of maskalai seeds and fertilizers among small and marginal farmers under the incentive program.
The State Minister said that in just 13 years, Bangabandhu’s daughter, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, with her honesty, courage and visionary leadership, has turned a low-developed country into a middle-income developing technology-dependent digital Bangladesh. As a result, no one is being a victim of middlemen, corruption or irregularities. Farmers no longer have to agitate as uninterrupted supply system is ensured. In Singra alone, crop production increased by 91 thousand metric tons to 296 thousand metric tons.
Also, under the guidance of Bangabandhu grandson Sajeeb Wazed, efforts are being made to move Bangladesh from labor dependence to a technology and knowledge-based economy step by step, said Palak. He said, now there is a crisis of agricultural workers. Because, the children of our agricultural-labor-families are getting educated and are going to other professions. As a result, this work now requires mechanization. For this reason attention has been paid to the mechanization of agriculture.
The state minister also said that 555 Joy Digital Employment Service Centers will be established in the country. Young people of every district and Upazila of the country can work as freelancers and e-commerce entrepreneurs by sitting at home.
Singra Upazila Chairman Md Shafiqul Islam, Female Vice Chairman Mosammat Shamima Akhter and Mayor Md Jannatul Ferdous were present in the program presided over by M. M. Samirul Islam, Singra Upazila Nirbahi Officer.
