The Golden Jubilee of Independence online quiz competition ended with the awarding of 150 winners.
A total of 50 people, including the first 30, were awarded at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center on Saturday, June 18, 2022. Among the winners of the competition, 17 laptops, tabs, smartwatches and Bluetooth speakers of Walton ( Made in Baladesh) were handed over.
State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak presided over the function while the Liberation War Minister AKM Mojammel Haque handed over the prizes to the winners. A boat made of Jute was presented to the minister as a gift.
In his speech, the state minister informed that soon the ICT department will present an animated film on the liberation war.
The state minister said, “During the pandemic, we have been able to keep the country afloat with digital integration. Now we are working to build a smart generation to build the Smart Bangladesh. Let’s respond to Bangabandhu’s call and work for economic independence as well as cultural liberation. We shall build a liberal generation through technology education. We will always prove that we are a beaver race. We shall conquer the world with the ‘Made in Bangladesh’ technology products.”
Director General of Digital Security Agency Khairul Alam delivered his welcome speech at the event. Kamrunnahar, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Liberation War, also spoke.
Commerce Secretary Tapankanti Ghosh said that besides the economy, social and cultural independence is also important. ICT Secretary NM Zeaul Alam joined the event online.
On the 25th of January, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the independence of Bangladesh, the Swadhinatar Subarna Jayanti website and the Swadhinatar Subarna Jayanti online quiz contests were inaugurated. In this competition organized in collaboration with a2i program, the participants registered to participate in three groups: A group (8-12 years), group B (13-18 years) and group C (19 years and above). 1 lakh 25 thousand 450 registered their names as contestants.
