BDApps, the national app store of Bangladesh, has officially started its activities to enhance the skills and scope of activities of the developer community of Rajshahi region. The platform recently inaugurated the event at an elite hotel in Rajshahi.
The event featured discussions and quizzes involving organizations involved with BDApps, people working on the platform, as well as inspirational success stories for current developers. Senior executives at BDApps share the platform’s vision and future work plans, opinions and suggestions with university teachers, students and top local media executives. The logo of the hackathon to be held this year was also unveiled at the event.
Professor Dr. Nazrul Islam Mandal, Dean of the ECE Faculty of RUET; President of Startup Rajshahi Tasneem Binte Shawkat; BFDS General Secretary Mahfuz Rahman and other important personalities shared their valuable views in the meeting.
Mahir Ashef, newly appointed Community Engagement Executive of BDApps in Rajshahi region, Ahmed Arman Siddiqui, Executive Vice President of Robi Axiata Limited, Md. Salah Uddin, General Manager and Tanim Islam, CEO of Miyaki Media Limited were also present at the inaugural function.
BDApps developers, stakeholders of IT institutes, training centers, students of different universities as well as 18 campus ambassadors and more than 200 participants from different universities of Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions were present on the occasion.
BDApps, launched by Robi Axiata Limited with more than 50,000 apps, currently has over 30,000 app developers. Of which 20 percent are women developers. Both programmers and non-programmers can create and present their applications through the dev.bdapps.com website.
