Drugs are being traded in the capital with food items like cakes, chocolate bars and flavored juices. These alloy products made with cannabis extract are being sold and delivered through apps. DMP police has advised the parents to be careful about this.
This information was given by DMP Police Commissioner Asaduzzaman in a DMP media briefing on Monday, May 30th.
He said that in the meantime, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police has arrested three members of a manufacturing group called ‘Incent Republic’ of 1100 members involved in drugs through cyber patrolling. The arrested persons are Jubayer Hossain, Ribo and Naja.
He said the detainees were making drugs like cannabis juice and cakes and selling them using online platforms. According to preliminary information, the detained Zubayer used to sell these online and was in charge of delivery as well. However, he continued to run the business using app-based delivery systems such as Pathao. Ribo and Naja used to help make these food items. This campaign is ongoing.
