Like the football of Europe, the football of the country also got the touch of technology. In the meantime, the Global Positioning System (GPS) has been used by the Bangladesh national team for over a year now. And soon Bangladesh football is entering the era of video analysis software.
For this, Bangladesh Football Federation is going to be associated with Moscow based sports performance analysis company ‘Instat’ and another popular platform ‘Sports Core’. In the meantime, BFF has also bought a subscription to get the technology services of more than 900 companies around the world.
As a result, it can be analyzed that how a footballer played on the field, where he made mistakes, where he improved through special software; Jamal Bhuiyan will get it in front of his own eyes even after a thorough analysis of his performance including his movements. Besides, the Spanish coach of Bangladesh football team Havier Cabrera will be able to make a master plan by arranging the formation and playing style easily by analyzing the players running on the field or by analyzing the fitness of the player or the speed of a single footballer, the ability of distance covered and so on.
According to BFF sources, the coach has been focused on technology since the Bangladesh team got the responsibility. He already has a good idea about these technologies in football. He also holds a Diploma in Performance Analysis Software ‘Next Sports’. He has experience working for the world-famous football analysis website ‘Opta Sports’.
In the meantime, Cabrera has created a database profile of 40 first-line footballers. Cabrera’s database contains every footballer’s goal of the match, how many minutes he was on the field, number of assists, percentage of wrong passes / correct passes and overall performance on the field. The work of extracting these data created in the software has also come a long way.
Video analysis software will be seen in Bangladesh football for the first time in preparation for the Asia Cup from May 16. Using the analysis of this software, Bangladesh team will enter the qualifying round of Asian Cup football to be held in Malaysia on June 8-14.
