The two-day ‘E-Commerce Expo 2023’ concluded on Thursday at the UK’s ‘Excel London’ International Convention Center with the participation of more than 11,000 international e-commerce and marketing professionals. 16 top level institutions from Bangladesh participated in the exhibition.
The companies are – Area71 Venture Limited, ASL BPO, Brain Station 23 Limited, Easy Technology Limited, FaithIT, FIFOTECH, Farnicom, Graho Limited, Graphic Unlimited Aid Limited, Graphics View, Goyara Limited, Ignite Tech Solutions, The Kao Company Limited, Link Vision Software Solutions, Noble IT Solutions Limited and Sky Tech Solutions. In addition to the exhibition, more than two hundred hours of discussions were held in eleven auditoriums.
A delegation of Bangladesh participated in the fair, a joint initiative of Bangladesh Association of Contact Centers and Outsourcing (BACCO) and Ministry of Commerce’s ‘Export Development Bureau’, supported by Bangladesh and London High Commission. Bangladesh Ambassador to UK Sayeda Muna Tasnim was the chief guest at the discussion. The meeting titled ‘BPO Brilliance in Bangladesh: Paving the Way for Global Excellence’, a joint initiative of BACCO and Export Development Bureau to highlight the country’s potential BPO sector to the world.
Senior Advisor and Founding President of BACCO, Ahmadul Haque; President Wahid Sharif, General Secretary Touhid Hossain and Director Kawsar Ahmed participated on behalf of BACCO Executive Committee.
On the occasion, Saida Muna Tasnim said, “Honorable Prime Minister announced Smart Bangladesh Vision 2041, the main objective of this plan is to make Bangladesh a developed high-income country through industrialization. Smart Bangladesh cannot be thought of without skilled human resource development, information technology development and increased export of information technology based goods and services.”
BACCO President Waheed Sharif said, “BACCO aims to create 1 lakh jobs in the business process outsourcing (BPO) industry by 2025 and achieve export revenue of one billion dollars. BACCO is working together with the government to achieve the target. BACCO will continue to work in the future to highlight the country’s success and capability story by participating in international exhibitions.”
BACCO General Secretary Tauhid Hossain expressed his gratitude to the Export Development Bureau and Bangladesh High Commission for their sponsorship and all-out cooperation in the E-Commerce Expo 2023.
According to the press release sent from BACCO on Friday, during the exhibition, numerous businessmen and visitors from different countries, including the UK and some other countries of Europe, crowded the stalls of Bangladesh with their inquiries at the international conference center titled ‘Excel London’. A large number of Bangladeshi expatriates and business groups living in London also visited the exhibition. The notification claimed that the participation of Bangladesh in the exhibition has opened up new horizons in terms of creating business relations and connections in the UK.
