The two neighboring countries Bangladesh and India have expressed their interest in working together to deal with cyber criminals. To this end, both countries have reached a consensus to jointly conduct cyber drills and capacity building workshops.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team with Minister of State for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak on Monday on the sixth day of his eight-day visit to India. The meeting was led by the Director General of Indian CIRT Dr. Sanjay Ball.
On the same day, Bangladesh ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak visited the BLS International, an outsourcing company that provides various digital services including banking to governments and embassies around the world. Apart from visiting the customer service center of the company located in Geeta Nagar, New Delhi, the State Minister met with the Chief Executive Officer of Unique Identification Authority of India (UDAI), Colonel Nikhil Sinha.
The bilateral meeting highlighted how good governance is being established through the technical and management of the Aadhaar system, along with the citizen access to civic services. Zunaid Ahmed Palak also shared knowledge about making the NID system of Bangladesh more futuristic and including more value added solutions.
