Social media giant Meta has announced the second version of its open-source AI ‘Llama’ to compete with Artificial Intelligence ChatGPT and Google’s Bard. It is mainly designed for researchers and developers.
Meta developed this AI language in collaboration with software giant Microsoft.
In this regard, Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, said that open source leads to innovation because it helps developers create new technologies. Llama 2 is completely open source. As a result, more people will be able to use it to identify and solve their potential problems.
The ‘Llama’ version of this AI system was released last February. The British press Independent writes that Meta and Microsoft are working with Llamas in a very open manner, unlike other big technology companies working with artificial intelligence. This will allow companies and researchers to access Llama’s data and code to build their own AI systems.
