YouTube is going to force those who always use adblocker to watch videos on YouTube for free without ads, to use the premium service in exchange for money. After creating a ‘three strikes policy’ to deter ad blocker users, YouTube said in a statement that repeated use of ad-blocking apps is detected and YouTube can stop playback of that viewer’s video.
In this regard, Google spokesperson Oluwa Falodun told technology site The Verge via e-mail that they would not disable AdBlocker despite repeated requests; they cannot watch videos on YouTube. If the viewer feels that he is being flagged wrongly, he can share his feedback by clicking on the paid link.
Along with messaging users, the popup shows three white boxes saying that watching three videos using an ad blocker will permanently block the video player.
To watch videos without ads, you need to subscribe to YouTube Premium. It will cost $11.99 per month. And the annual cost will be 119.99 dollars.
