Between June 2022 and May 2023, a group of cyber criminals hacked more than 100,000 ChatGPT accounts. Singapore-based cyber security company Group IB’s Intelligence Security Platform data says that Bangladesh ranks 10th in terms of data leakage of ChatGPT users.
The investigation of the organization says that the information of 2 thousand 463 Bangladeshi ChatGPT users has been leaked in the last 1 year. Hackers have hacked these accounts through cyberattacks and online fraud, which have subsequently been released into the illicit market of the cybercrime world.
According to a report by searchenginejournal.com, the accounts are at risk as users’ sensitive information such as bank details, e-mails, passwords and phone numbers are exposed. These important data (credentials) were found in the stolen data logs which were later sold to the cybercrime world.
