BGMI or Battlegrounds Mobile India is returning to India; this time officially announced by the game’s developer company Crafton. The game was banned in July last year for allegedly secretly sending sensitive information of Indian citizens to China. The game was removed from Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
The game is currently returning for three months. BGMI will have to go through the government’s monitoring process for three months or 90 days to return to full stock. The matter has also been informed by the Government of India.
Union Minister of State for Electronics and IT Rajeev Chandrasekhar tweeted, “BGMI has been granted a three-month trial after complying with the resolution of issues like server location and data security.”
Meanwhile, Crafton India Chief Executive Officer Sean Heunil Shone said, “We are extremely grateful to the Government of India for allowing us to resume operations of Battlegrounds Mobile India. Also, we would like to express our gratitude to our Indian gaming community for their support and patience over the past few months. We are happy to announce that the game will be available for download soon and we look forward to welcoming you to our platform.”
