Gmail is the most popular email service in the world so far. Many people open multiple Gmail accounts for various reasons. But in most cases, except for one or two accounts, the rest of the accounts are no longer used. Now Google has decided to permanently delete all those inactive Gmail accounts.
According to the news, Gmail accounts which have been inactive for two years will be deleted in phases.
According to Google, using a Google account to read or send email, use Google Drive, watch videos on YouTube, download apps from the Google Play Store, use Google Search, or sign into a third-party app will count those accounts as active. As a result, Google will not delete the account even if there is no email exchange for two years.
Google may start deleting inactive accounts at the end of this year or early next year. Once inactive accounts are deleted, their usernames can be easily used by anyone else.
