The Information and Communication Technology Division is going to organize the IT competition for youth with disabilities in the country for the seventh time. The competition will be held from 8:45 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday, May 6, at BUBT University, Rupnagar, Mirpur, Dhaka campus in the capital Dhaka.
The competition will be implemented by Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) in collaboration with the Center for Services and Information on Disability (CSID) and Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT).
According to the organizing committee, a total of 117 contestants from all over the country will participate in the competition in 4 categories of disabilities. The categories are Visually Impaired, Physically Impaired, Speech and Hearing Impaired and Neuro Developmental Disability (NDD).
Contestants in all categories will compete in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Internet and Programming (Scratch). The top three finishers in each category will be awarded. According to the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) Manager (Systems) and coordinator of this event Md. Golam Rabbani, the best 4 contestants who win the category will have the opportunity to participate in the international competition to be held in Dubai on October 2023.
