Not only for exchanging messages, WhatsApp is now being used for various purposes. From sending important documents to photos or videos, users turn to WhatsApp for any media file transfer.
However, if you send an image to someone through WhatsApp, it is automatically compressed, which reduces its quality. The app automatically reduces the resolution by about 70 percent when sharing images or videos. In that case, taking photos with a good camera becomes completely useless.
To solve this problem, WhatsApp is going to launch a new feature in coming days. As a result, users will be able to send any image in original quality without losing the image quality in any way.
This news came to light recently in a report by WhatsApp’s feature tracker WABtainfour. Sharing a screenshot of the upcoming feature, the new feature will show a settings icon to set the photo quality while sharing a photo, which users will be able to send to someone without losing the quality of the photo.
