A high-level delegation from Bangsamoro Muslim-dominated Mindanao and a UNDP Philippines delegation arrived in Bangladesh on a four-day visit to learn about the various IT-based innovative services developed by a2i.
On the first day of the visit, Hon’ble State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak exchanged views with the delegation at the a2i office at ICT Tower, Agargaon on Monday evening.
The 14-member delegation, led by Deputy Ministry of Trade Investments and Tourism (MTIT) Sukarno Abas, included Bangsomaro’s Ministry of the Interior and Local Government (MILG) Director-General Khalid Dumagay
UNDP Philippine’s Institutions and Partnerships (I&P) Programme Team Leader Maria Luisa Isabel Lim-Jolongbayan were present with this delegation team.
Philippine Ambassador to Dhaka Alan L. Deniega, a2i project director (joint secretary) Dewan Muhammad Humayun Kabir, Assistant Resident Representative of UNDP Bangladesh Sardar M Asaduzzaman, BASIS, BACCO, e-Cab, and esteemed representatives of the private sector of both the countries as well as officials of the Ministry were present.
On the first day of the visit, the delegation was briefed on the digital services of Mygov, Digital Center, a2i Innovation Lab, and Village Court of UNDP Bangladesh.
Over the next three days, the Postal Department’s Digital Post Office, a2i’s e-Commerce Platform Eakshop, National Intelligence Employment and Entrepreneurship (NICE), Digital Center, Innovation in Education, Customer Innovation and Empathy, Sheikh Russell Digital Lab, Joy Inspect documents and other innovative projects.
