An online market place for domestic products is being launched for the first time from Bangladesh among small women entrepreneurs in South Asia. This online market place called Wehatbazar.com is going to start commercially on Thursday, May 16, after the continuous soft and logo unveiling. At the beginning of the journey, 100 entrepreneurs are staying here within the rules of the World Bank. Entrepreneurs are appearing on this platform with their products made and manufactured in 12 categories.
It also has 5 established brands of women entrepreneurs like Bibiana, Tan, Gutipa. The number of entrepreneurs will be increased to 1000 in the next one and a half years, said Nasima Akhter Nisha, General Secretary of e-Cab and Managing Director of WE Hatbazar.
It is reported that the Minister of Social Welfare Dr. Deepu Moni will inaugurate the specialized e-commerce platform. State Minister for Post, Telecommunication and Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak will be the special guests in the opening ceremony, Information and Communication Technology Department Secretary Md. Shamsul Arefin and World Bank South Asia Regional Project Director of Innovation and Financing Gaby George Afram will also be present at the inaugural program.
Nasima Akhter Nisha said that the platform will be launched on the web but the apps will also be released in the upcoming Eid. It is developed by the developers of our own country. After the first commercial launch we will soon launch the updated version with feedback from customers. Now our platform is arranged in separate tabs called web shop, community and product.
