As an agriculture-based tech entrepreneur, the e-commerce venture Agromukam BD is getting a loan facility of Tk 1 crore from a tech-friendly bank- Midland. A loan support agreement has been signed between the two entities to make the new technology driven business idea a success.
Through this support, harnessing the power of technology as an agro-ecommerce marketplace, bridges will be built between farmers and marketers in every district, thana and union of Bangladesh.
Managing Director and CEO of Midland Bank Md. Ahsan-Uz Zaman and Agromukam BD Chairman Touhidul Alam Zenith signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations at a ceremony organized at the bank’s head office in Dhaka on January 4. Under this agreement, Agromucam BD will get an MDB startup loan of Tk.1 crore as a startup business house.
DMD of Midland Bank Md. Zahid Hossain; Head of Institutional Banking Division, Md. Javed Tarek Khan; Head of SME Banking Division, Md. Ahsan Jamil Hossain and Acting Head of CRM Department Md. Bajlur Rahman Khan and Iftekharul Islam, Managing Director of Agromukam BD Limited and other officials of the organization were present at that time.
