Dhaka University’s team ‘Not Strong Enough’ became the champion by solving all 10 problems first in the Dhaka Round of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) while the Shahjalal University of Science and Technology’s team ‘Berlecampmassy’ became the first runner-up. Although, the team was the first to solve the problem in G-Set but the end has been delayed. However, the team of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, BUET Potatoes, went ahead in the end and became the second runner-up.
1 thousand 648 teams from 128 universities participated online in the competition held on Saturday under the initiative of Green University of Bangladesh.
The competition was held on Codemarsal website under the supervision of Dr.Md. Saiful Azad, Chairman of the Executive Committee of ICPC and Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering of Green University. The online contest continued for 180 minutes at a streatch.
In the competition, Dhaka University’s team ‘NotReadyYet’ emerged first on the scoreboard by solving the D-set first. RUET’s Aftermath is the first to solve problem set A. Similarly, Team Novatos was leading in Set B.
However, three teams each from Dhaka University and BUET made it to the top ten in terms of time and solution. DU Fairblitz is fourth on the score board. Next in position is the BUET hypnotist. RUET.s Aftermath is in the sixth position with participation from Rajshahi University of Science and Technology outside Dhaka. Besides, JU KZVD4729 of Jahangirnagar University became the 7th, BUET Comedians of Error became the 8th, 101 is in the 9th and 10th positions of DU’s Not Ready Yet.
These ten teams will participate in the ICPC Dhaka Round to be held on March 11.
