As a future ready digital company, under the ‘Agamir Bangladesh’ (Future Bangladesh) campaign, Robi awarded the best 10 ideas provided by the future generation children of the country. On the occasion of celebrating 25 years of Robi, through this campaign which started on December 16 last year, children and teenagers got an opportunity to give ideas about future Bangladesh based on future innovation and digitization.
On this occasion, winners were presented with exclusive crests, certificates and attractive electronic gadgets at a function organized at Robi’s corporate office in the capital today. Robi’s Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Shihab Ahmad, founder and CEO of Ten Minute School Ayman Sadiq and senior officials of Robi were present on the occasion.
The top 10 were selected from over 13,000 submitted ideas across the country. In selecting the best ideas, priority has been given to innovative and technology-based thinking and thinking to solve various problems in the social or daily life of the country. Out of thousands of ideas, Samihat Taspia Rumaisa won the first place, whose idea was to create a device that would deliver useful information to the nearest health center and police station as soon as an accident occurs. Second place went to Tanim whose idea was to create a rechargeable innovative dictation pen that would eliminate the problem of children with writing disabilities like him.
On the occasion, Robi’s Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Shihab Ahmad said, “Children or youth today are the driving force of our digital future. I firmly believe that if we pave the way for better opportunities for our future generations, they themselves will create the future we dream of creating now. Robi will continue such initiatives to develop the innovative capacity and skills of those who will take this country forward in the future.”
Robi’s flagship digital platform R-Ventures 3.0 was announced at Robi’s 25th anniversary event on November 15 and Robi’s CEO Rajeev Shetty promised to invest up to two and a half crore taka in the top digital start-ups of the competition.
