Fair Electronics Limited has received the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certificate from the National Board of Revenue (NBR).
The Chairman of Fair Electronics and Fair Group Ruhul Alam Al Mahbub received this certificate from the NBR Chairman Abu Hena Md. Rahmatul Munim in the event organized on the occasion of International Customs Day.
Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal was present virtually as the chief guest in this event organized at a hotel in the capital on Thursday.
The President of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Md. Jasim Uddin was present as the special guest at the event.
In the event, 9 companies including Fair Electronics were given AEO certificate by NBR’s Directorate of Customs Evaluation and Internal Audit.
The certified companies will get 10 types of benefits including freeing the imported products easily from the port and taking those to their own factories. They will have the opportunity to carry out manual inspection of consignments of goods at their own premises instead of custom houses or customs stations. Before the goods arrive at the port, customs clearance can be completed with the submission of bill of entry.
