Four seminars were held on Friday, the second day of the Digital Bangladesh Mela 2023. With these four seminars, mobile operators’ organization AMTOB has held a mobile congress for the first time.
Minister for Science and Information Technology Architect Yeafesh Osman was the chief guest at the seminar on Data Science, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence. He sees the large population of Bangladesh as a positive.
The minister said that population density and growth are the reasons for the development of Bangladesh. By reciting poetry, he said, ‘If you try, nothing is impossible for a Bengali’.
There is nothing to fear about AI or artificial intelligence. Bangladeshi youth need to adapt to new technologies to acquire skills.
While speaking as a Special guest, the Senior Secretary of ICT Division NM Ziaul Alam said that greater digital change has been completed in the country, now smart Bangladesh has to move towards new changes.
Dr. Lafifa Jamal, Lecturer in Robotics and Mechanics Engineering, University of Dhaka, presented the keynote. He said that in the 4th industrial revolution, Bangladesh should become a supplier and not a consumer. He says researchers need to work together with industry and government, otherwise the work remains only a prototype. He highlighted the lack of investment by local companies and governments in the research and development sector.
LM Ericsson Bangladesh Country Manager Abdus Salam was present as moderator of the session.
Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission Director General Brigadier General Md. Ehsanul Kabir, ZTE Corporation South Chief Marketing Officer Liu Zhen Wu, Data Soft Limited Managing Director Mahbub Zaman, Nokia Bangladesh Country Head Arif Islam were present as speakers.
Prof. Dr. Lafiza Jamal was the keynote speaker and a negotiator negotiator as well.
Dr. Shamsul Alam, Minister of State, Ministry of Planning was present as the chief guest of the seminar titled ‘Digital Transformation: The Driving Force of the Future Bangladesh Economy’ and Prof. Enamul Haque, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics, East West University was present as the special guest. Mohammad Refayet Ullah Mridha, President Economic Reports Forum (IRF) was present as moderator.

While speaking as the Chief Guest, Dr. Shamsul Alam said since 2011, Bangladesh (MFS) has brought revolutionary changes and digitization of manpower. He also asked everyone to be united in filtering obscene content. Special guest Prof. Enamul Haque urged the government to come up with perfect policies to create new startups and retain existing startups. The author of the original article urged everyone to adapt to the changes in technology. After the pandemic, IoT and the cloud stand as a huge milestone and Facebook Commerce is playing a revolutionary role in the economy. Also, CEO of Banglalink said that their main goal is to provide internet services at all levels from 5G in Bangladesh. And he also mentioned that the use of MFSS and other information technology has improved the quality of life of people.
