State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak urged to show ‘smartness’ in every work. At the same time, he urged freedom fighters to lead the war against poverty, drugs, militancy and corruption.
The ICT State Minister made this call in the s the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of Chamri and Kalam Union of Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad’s regional office at Bildahar Bazaar in Singra on Saturday.
Referring to the newly built office as a landmark at the district and Upazila levels, the state minister said, I think that the best children of our nation, brave freedom fighters, and veteran parents have shown their interest, I thank and appreciate them. I will allocate another 50 thousand taka for the rest of the office work.
The state minister also said that a few months ago I handed over digital certificates and smart cards to 220 bvaliant freedom fighters of Singra on behalf of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. They have been offered free travel in the Metrorails.
Local freedom fighter Md Jalal Uddin Sardar, former commander of Muktijoddha Command Abdul Waded Dudu, local Awami League president Alhaj Sheikh Ohidur Rahman, general secretary and mayor Jannatul Ferdous, former general secretary Ad Zillur Rahman, spoke among others. A heroic freedom fighter Ad Asadul Islam presided over the event.Valiant freedo fighter Shahadat Hossain and others were present in the program.
