A large part of today’s youth is addicted to online gaming. Too much game addiction is causing damage to their brain and mind. It affects the entire society. Due to this, the central government of India has taken the initiative to crack down on online gaming. Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnab said specific policies or new laws will be introduced for online gaming.
The central government of India is going to take this decision keeping in mind the way these online games are influencing today’s youth. In a press conference on Sunday, the Union Information and Broadcasting Minister said that the present-day youth is addicted to online games. Its effects are dire. Recently, after a meeting with the IT Ministers of all the states, he also raised the concerns of the rest of the ministers about online games and its impact.
Today, Ashwini Vaishnav said, “Almost every state has expressed concern about online games. Especially with the addiction of this game. Due to the bad effects of games, people are behaving strangely which is not desirable. As a result, the peace and harmony of the society is being destroyed. For this, we have started important discussions with the stake holders. Central government is going to bring new laws on online games very soon”.
Along with the gaming policy, India is also going to introduce the Information Bill and the Digital India Bill. Good response has already been received on the information security bill which has been claimed by the government.
