Members of Parliament Kazi Nabeel Ahmed and cricket star, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza have been nominated as members of the Board of Regents of Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST). On Monday (November 21), the Ministry of Education issued a notification in this regard.
According to the notification of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education, with the approval of the Prime Minister and the Leader of Parliament, Kazi Nabil Ahmed, Member of Parliament of Jessore-3 Constituency of Greater Jashore and Mashrafe Bin Murtaza, Member of Parliament of Narail-2 Constituency, have been nominated as members of the Board of Regents of Jashore University of Science and Technology-JUST for three years.
Before this, through another letter signed by Roksana Begum, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Chairman of Radiant Pharmaceuticals, prominent industrialist and social reformer Md. Nasser Shahriar Zahedi has been nominated as a member of the Board of Regents, the highest policy-making forum of Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) for 3 (three) years.
Regarding Mashrafe’s nomination to the Board of Regents, former athletics coach of Bangladesh Sports Education Institution (BKSP) and Deputy Director of Physical Education Department of JUST, Abdullah Hail Kafi said that the nomination of athletes like Mashrafe Bin Mortuza to the Board of Regents of JUST will play a unique role in the progress of sports education in the university. In the field of sports of the JUST will be accelerated by his coming to the Board of Regents in a short time; I believe that he will be able to fulfill all the demands and suggestions that the students have regarding sports.
