Thanks to technology, the use of satellites has made it possible to increase productivity in the agricultural sector. “Knowledge, science, technology and natural resources – all are God’s bounties to mankind, which cannot be wasted or misused.”
Director General of National Science and Technology Museum Mohammad Munir Chowdhury conveyed the words to the young students participating in a science lecture organized at the National Science and Technology Museum on Wednesday (September 7).
He also said, “The young generation should come forward to save electricity and energy. Energy saving bulbs should be installed in every house. As a thrifty nation, the Japanese are a unique example in the world. The Japanese collect bathtub water and use it for cooking. In Singapore, toilet water is purified and used as drinking water. We have to allow sunlight to enter the house without drawing heavy curtains. Solar energy is endless, its opportunities must be exploited.
60 students from different universities who are training at Bangladesh National Scientific and Technical Documentation Center (BANSDOC) participated in the lecture session.
Apart from this, a mobile science exhibition was organized in the museum for the trainees and the winning students were given various mementoes by the science museum.
