To bring stability to the digital commerce sector, four technologies will be launched next February: Digital Business Registration UBID (Unique Business ID) and Grievance Redressal Process (Central Logistics Management System-CCMS). In March, ICT advisor Sajeeb Wazed Joy may launch digital inter-transaction platform ‘Binimoy‘. However, launching the Central Logistics Tracking Platform (CLTP) may take another six months.
State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak said this at a press conference held at the conference center of ICT Tower on Wednesday (January 19).
The press conference was chaired by NM Zeaul Alam, Senior Secretary, ICT Department, and was attended by a2i Policy Advisor Anir Chowdhury, a2i Technical Head Rezwanul Haque Jami, e-Cab Director Zia Ashraf, Co-Founder Chaldal and Joint Secretary of the Commerce Ministry’s E-Commerce Cell Saeed Ali.
Responding to questions from reporters about the platforms, which were set up at the initiative of the Commerce Ministry and with the technical assistance of the ICT department, the ICT minister said all digital traders need to register for ID. Through this, those who are doing business on Facebook will also come under registration. And if there is any complaint through any registered organization, it has to be settled through CCMS.
However, Palak said that it was not possible to open the CLTP issue now, adding that apart from the ICT department and the Ministry of Commerce, the Department of Posts and Telecommunications is our partner in its implementation. We have not yet received any logistical instructions from them. We are writing to them now. If we don’t get an answer in seven days, we will do it in six months. This will eliminate the lack of trust, credibility and transparency in digital business.
