The BD Skill Assessment Platform was formally launched to build the skilled manpower required for the ICT industry. The platform will help young professionals acquire technical skills. At the same time, they will be able to fully prepare themselves for the opportunity to get the certificate and job by checking their skills.
Commenting on the initiative, Syed Almas Kabir, former president of BASIS, said that the employers can easily recruit their desired skilled manpower from the students who have passed the BD Skills Assessment. Certificates will be awarded to those who pass this assessment after confirming the minimum standard of proficiency.
BITM is implementing these activities under the LICT project under the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology and under the supervision of Bangladesh Computer Council.
According to BITM, at the initial stage, digital marketing, graphics design, web development using PHP and Laravel, mobile application development using Android (Java) -Android, web development with ASP.net are on top of these 5 topics. More new topics will be added in phases.
