A seminar on ‘Advanced Numerical Modeling of Intranasal Practical Flow: A Green Corridor for Effective Drug Delivery’ was held at Jessore University of Science and Technology (JUST). The seminar was organized by the Mathematics Department of the University at the gallery of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Academic Building on Monday morning.
Senior Professor of the University and Vice-Chancellor of JUST (Routine Responsibility) Prof. Dr. Md. Anisur Rahman was present as the chief guest in the seminar. He said that besides academic success, the university should also give more importance on research. Because there is no substitute for quality research in creating and recognizing the position of the university in the world. Our current Vice Chancellor Prof. Md. Anwar Hossain has been working tirelessly to make this university a research university and has achieved a lot. Hopefully, such seminars on mathematical research will help further the research of this university.
The keynote article at the seminar was read by Dr. Subhash Chandra Saha, a senior lecturer at the Australian University of Technology, Sydney. He is also working as a ‘Visiting Researcher’ in the Mathematics Department of JUST. During the seminar, he discussed in detail about the PCM of bio-fluid mechanics, particle flow, heat and mass transfer, the effective delivery of medicine to the body or lungs when someone is infected with the corona virus. At the same time, in the seminar, he presented his various research papers and results on mathematical analysis on the relationship between aerobics in the human body and the lungs.
Chairman of the Department of Mathematics Dr. Md. Hafiz Uddin presided over the seminar while Dean of the Faculty of Science Dr. Sumon Chandra Mohanta, Dr. M. A. Wazed Mia Institute of Advanced Studies Director Prof. Saibur Rahman Mollah also spoke at the seminar.
Assistant Professor of Mathematics Md. Harun Rashid delivered his welcome speech in the seminar. The chairman of the Department of Petroleum and Mining Engineering (PME), Professor Dr. HM Zakir Hossain, Chairman of the Department of Climate and Disaster Management (CDM) Dr. Mohammad Mahfuzur Rahman, director of the International Service Center Dr. Md. Omar Farooq, Assistant Professor of Mathematics Shamima Akhter, Sameeran Mandal, Nayan Dhali, Sharmin Banu, Lecturer Mohammad Asif Arefin, Md. Nazrul Islam, Md. Raihan Pradhan, J. R. M. Borhan and the Students of different departments were present in the seminar which was conducted by Deepa Roy, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics.
