Education is the vehicle to move forward all over the world. Civilization has evolved due to education. Now education has to keep pace with the evolution of civilization. In order to lead the digital civilization or the fourth industrial revolution, the highest importance must be given to digital education.
This was stated by Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar in his speech as the chief guest at an online discussion meeting organized by the Greater Mymensingh Coordinating Council on the occasion of the 233rd anniversary of the establishment of Mymensingh district in Dhaka on Saturday.
Highlighting the various programs taken by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to spread education in all the districts of Mymensingh, especially digital education, the minister said, “Where there was no facility to receive secondary education in my village, there are now sub-mergeable roads passing by every village in the haor. Digital superhighways have been created. There is a Teletalk network in the haor area. 12 thousand WiFi zones are being formed. IT Training Centers, Universities and Medical Colleges are established in Netrokona, Hi-Tech Parks in Jamalpur, Mymensingh and Tangail and Universities also are being set up in the districts of greater Mymensingh.”
Chairman of Greater Mymensingh Coordinating Council Abul Kalam Azad presided over the function. State Minister for Social Welfare Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru, State Minister for Culture KM Khalid, Professor Jatin Sarkar, President of Greater Mymensingh Employees Association Sajjadul Hasan, Textile and Jute Secretary Md. Abdul Mannan, IMED Secretary Pradeep Greater Mymensingh Coordinating Council Coordinator Abdus Samad and cultural personality M. Hamid delivered the keynote address. General Secretary of the organization Rashedul Hasan Shelley conducted the program.
