The world is shocked by the unimaginable aggression of Israeli forces in Gaza under the pretext of punishing Hamas. Strong protests are going on in the country. Meanwhile, China has reportedly removed the name of Israel as a state from online maps. This information has been reported in the report of the American media Wall Street Journal and the Indian media NDTV.
According to reports, Israel is no longer shown as a state on digital maps by large Chinese companies such as Baidu and Alibaba. Baidu’s map shows the borders of Israeli and Palestinian territories, but does not explicitly mention the names of the states. Even small countries like Luxembourg are clearly marked on Alibaba’s digital map. But Israel’s name is missing from the map.

Some Internet users in China recently noticed this change. After that, the issue came up in the discussion. Neither Alibaba nor Baidu have officially explained the change.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry, in a statement, urged the parties concerned to remain calm and not target civilians, following the recent outbreak of conflict between Israel and the Palestinian independence group Hamas. But nowhere in the statement did China show any condemnation of Hamas or increased sympathy for the Israelis.
Instead, Beijing considers the establishment of two separate independent states of Israel and Palestine as the only solution to this crisis. In addition, they supported the demand for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
