Elon Musk’s SpaceX-built Starship spacecraft will land on Mars in the next three to four years. Musk recently made these optimism during a virtual speech at the International Astronautical Congress in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Musk joined International Astronautical Federation president Clay Mowry in a one-hour question-and-answer session at the event. When asked about when the Starship could land unmanned on Mars, the Tesla boss replied, ‘I think three or four years.’
Musk gave an idea of the potential capabilities of the starship through a metaphor. He said, breakfast in Los Angeles, lunch in London, dinner in Singapore and back to Los Angeles at bedtime.
Musk, however, does not want to rush to reach his goal.
