According to the report of the investigation board formed after finding the cases of eight officers and employees working in Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) applied with fake certificates, six of them were dismissed from their jobs and two were decided to retire compulsorily. At the same time, it has been decided to take action against them according to the prevailing laws and disciplinary rules of the state and the university.
These decisions were taken at the 90th meeting of the Board of Regents, the highest policy-making forum of JUST, on Saturday, May 13. Earlier, three separate committees on charter review submitted their reports to the 82nd Board of Regents. The Board of Inquiry is constituted as per the prevailing law and discipline rules of the University. The Board of Inquiry presented its report at the Board of Regents meeting. Later, when the truth of the Regent Board incident was discovered, action was taken against the officers and employees with fake certificates. Many of the Board of Regents members attended the meeting virtually and many in person.
The meeting of the Regent Board decided to order the dismissal of jobs for the following officers and employees for gross violation of law. They are: Technical officer Zahid Hasan (Graduate, National University), Section Officer (Grade-1) Md. Jahangir Alam (Graduate, National University), Section Officer (Grade-2) Md. Saqib Islam (Graduate, National University), Section Officer (Grade-II) Mosammat Hasna Hena (B.Sc., National University), Senior Cleaner Dilip Harijan (8th Class), Cleaner Vasudev Das (8th Class). At the same time Section Officer (Grade-1) Md. Mohidul Islam (Post Graduate, Darul Ihsan University), Mechanic Md. Zakir Hossain (Post Graduate, Sonargaon University) was ordered to retire compulsorily from the University as punishment. Meanwhile, case of the technical officer Md. Helalul Islam (Graduate, Darul Ihsan University) has been decided to send to the lawyer appointed by the university since the case involves some legal issues.
In the meeting of the Board of Regents, the investigation committee found evidence of involvement of Md. Hayatuzzaman, the Deputy Director (Public Relations) of JUST in recruitment irregularities. Accepting this report in the meeting of the board of regents, according to the rules, it was decided to send it to a three-member investigation board.

At the same time, taking the depth of the incident of beating Abdullah Al Mamun into consideration, the order of suspension of Badiuzzaman Badal, the Security Supervisor of JUST was upheld. A four-member investigation committee has also been formed to investigate the incident in this regard.
A condolence motion was accepted by the Regent Board meeting on the death of the mother of the Minister of Education Dr. Dipu Moni MP. At the same time, a vote of thanks was given to Motaleb Hossain and Abdullah Al Noman, students of Agro Product Processing Technology Department of the University and Md. Sheikh Sadi Bhuiyan, a student of Fisheries and Marine Bioscience Department for taking a brave role in extinguishing the fire on the ninth floor of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Academic Building of the University.
