E-commerce giant Amazon is shutting down its food delivery business in India. On Friday, the company announced the closure of the service, which was launched in May 2020. News Reuters.
“We have decided to close ‘Amazon Food’ as part of our annual operating plan review process,” a company spokesperson said.
He further said, “We have taken the decision after considering all aspects. We are phasing out these programs to take care of existing customers and partners.”
But not only food delivery, Amazon is also stopping another service. Last Thursday, Amazon also said it will shut down its online education platform, Amazon Academy operations, in India from August 2023 and refund the full fees to those enrolled in the current academic batch.
