The Department of Information and Communication Technology has taken an initiative to create a ‘digital bridge’ between students-teachers, researchers, entrepreneurs, investors and consumers. That is why the ‘University Incubation Hubs’ set up in the universities are being brought on the web platform. It is called the Digital Entrepreneurship and Innovation Ecosystem Development Project- DEIED.
Under this innovative project, State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak has directed the concerned to visit the web, Facebook or YouTube address to ensure that the platform looks of international standard. He said, “This initiative has been taken up by local entrepreneurs to meet the huge demand of Bangladesh in the Entrepreneur Supply Chain in the world. According to the Prime Minister’s wish, we want to implement the philosophy of building young entrepreneurs as job creators rather than job seekers.”
The state minister was speaking at the signing ceremony of a contract with a content creator- Matra under the DEIED project initiated by the Hi-Tech Park Authority on Sunday.
Advising the high-tech park authorities to be part of the corporate culture, Palak added, “Although the high-tech park is a government authority, it needs to be transformed into a private corporate culture; So that no one considers it as a part of any conventional government ministry. It’s designed like a private, multinational company. ‘

Universities and teachers are being initially involved in this project to build skilled human resources. Although the project is small in financial terms, the people concerned are hopeful that the impact will be huge.
