‘Exo Max’- the flag-bearing team of Bangladesh is going to leave the country for the United States on April 20 to participate in the final phase of NASA’s Conrad Challenge. The competition is organized by NASA’s Conrad Foundation at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Texas, USA.
Exo Max makes a team of 4 including the coach. They are: Twa-Sheen Elahi of Harimohan Government Boys’ High School of Chapainawabganj; Mahdi Bin Ferdous of Natore Government Boys’ High School; Sanjeem Hossain of Loreto School in Dhaka, and the coach of the team and a PhD researcher of the University of Houston, Salman Promon.
The official name of the final phase of the Conrad Challenge is the ‘Innovation Summit’. Students aged 13 to18 can participate in it. Exo Max’s project is competing in the ‘Energy and Environment’ category in this episode. They are in the top 7. A total of 10 teams have been announced in each category. Among these, the first 6-7 teams will be able to participate directly. And if any of these teams cannot participate, the rest of the teams will gradually get a chance.
Conrad Challenge is being organized since 2008. The competition is being sponsored by some of the biggest names in the world of space and technology including NASA, NASA Houston Space Center and Dell Technologies. About 3 thousand 400 students are participating in this event.
