The non-profit organization Mozilla has been added to the long list of layoffs. The maker of Internet browser Firefox has laid off 60 workers. The announcement comes just a week after the appointment of a new CEO. News Engadget.
Mozilla confirmed the matter in a statement. The number of retrenched workers is about 5 percent of the total workforce. Most of them are working in the product manufacturing sector.
However, the company said that the work they are currently doing is to add AI methods to their browser.
They have already decided to close the 3D virtual hub created in 2018. It is said that the layoff decision has been taken to invest in several areas.
