Post and Telecommunication Minister Mustafa Jabbar commented that, in the age of digital technology, talent is the greatest asset of the present world. The new generation of Bangladesh is very talented. If they can be properly developed and utilized, the future Bangladesh will be a unique example of the world.
The minister commented so while speaking as the chief guest at the event publishing the book titled ‘Fourth Industrial Revolution and Bangladesh Vision’ at the Manisingh-Farhad Memorial Trust in Dhaka on Sunday night.
Dr. Emeritus Professor of Sultan Qaboos University of Oman presided over the event by Shekhar Dutta, President of Manisingh Farhad Memorial Trust. SM Mujibur Rahman, information technology expert Mahbub Zaman, former head of development research of the United Nations. Nazrul Islam, media personality Abdun Noor Tushar and Dhaka University professor Dr. Sangeeta Ahmed spoke at the event. Dilwar Hossain, chief executive of Bangla Dharitri, the publishing company of the book, moderated the program.
The Minister of Posts and Telecommunications pointed out that Bangladesh has undergone a wonderful transformation after overcoming hundreds of years of backwardness and said that Bangladesh is now an commendable example of the world. This transformation is the product of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s visionary and wise political leadership.
In the event, the Minister unveiled the cover of the book on the ‘Fourth Industrial Revolution and Bangladesh Vision’. The book compiles the writings of many including Mr. Mustafa Jabbar on Fourth Industrial Revolution.
While speaking as the President on the occasion, Shekhar Dutta emphasized on the need to utilize the power of technology more for development.
Speakers at the event said that thanks to IITs, Indian technologists have no choice in the world of digital technology innovation including Silicon Valley. They mentioned the need to establish BITs on the lines of IITs.
