Banglalink signed an agreement with Bangladesh Railway for an optical fiber sharing initiative. Erik Aas, Chief Executive Officer, Banglalink, and Banu Ranjan Sarkar, Chief Signal & Telecommunication Engineer (Telecom), Bangladesh Railway, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. Md. Nurul Islam Sujan, MP, Honorable Minister, Ministry of Railways was present at the event as the Chief Guest. Also present at the signing ceremony were high officials of both organizations.
Under this agreement, Banglalink will use Bangladesh Railway’s optical fiber network in eight sections in the country for five years. The total lease value for 595.39 km of optical fiber is BDT 29.60 crore.
