With the spread of information technology, cyber risk is also increasing day by day. Bay IT is building professional cybersecurity personnel in the country to deal with the risks. This has created new employment for the youth. The institute has taken initiative to train 500 students to make Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s ‘Golden Son’ without involbing foreign experts.
As part of this, the first episode was held at the Bay IT training centre on Saturday. In the first phase, training is given to data centre specialists and cybersecurity specialists. Taking part in the training, 6 students got instant jobs in BIT.
According to the organizing authority, 50 students were given free training on the first day. Among them, three from BRAC University, three from Bangladesh University of Professionals and one from Dhaka International University were given jobs. At the same time, three students were given 100 percent scholarship in merit quota and the remaining 48 students were given 50 per cent scholarship.
